Delete your account
You can delete your Heed account and the data that goes with it at any time. This page covers both Heed (iPhone) and Heed – Christian Circles (Android).
In the app (fastest)
- Open the app and go to Settings.
- Tap Account.
- Tap Delete account (or Delete my data if you never signed in) and confirm.
This works whether or not you signed in, and it happens straight away.
On the web
If you signed in with Apple or Google and can't use the app, enter the email on that account. We'll email you a link. Open it within 24 hours and confirm to delete the account.
Used Hide My Email with Apple, or never signed in? Use the in-app option above, or email privacy@heedscripture.com with the name you use in circles and a circle code you belong to. We'll reply within 30 days.
What gets deleted
- Your account and sign-in.
- Your circle memberships, the name you used in them, and any phone number you shared with leaders.
- Companion pacts (ended, with your name removed) and your Witness link and progress.
- If you lead: your leader profile, leader request, plan records and invite emails you saved. Your circles pass to the next leader or close. Prayers you shared stay with the circle, without your name.
- Reports you filed about other people's content.
What we keep
- Purchase records held by Apple, Google and RevenueCat, as the law and their terms require. Cancel a subscription in your App Store or Google Play settings.
- If your account was banned for breaking our Terms, a record of the ban (with its email), so it can't be undone by deleting and starting over.
- Moderation records about content that was reported, kept only as long as needed to keep the community safe.
- Anonymous analytics that can't identify you, under Google Firebase's retention settings.
Your on-device data (streaks, settings) stays on your phone until you delete the app.
